The XRP fee calculator helps you estimate the exact cost of any XRP transfer before you send. The XRP Ledger uses a flat fee model — the network fee is the same whether you send 1 XRP or 1,000,000 XRP.

How to Calculate XRP Transaction Fee

  • Network fee: 0.00001 XRP (10 drops) — fixed for standard transfers
  • Fee in USD: Network fee × current XRP price
  • Example: If XRP = $2.00, the fee = $0.00002

Fee Formula

Current Transaction Cost in Drops = (base_fee × load_factor) ÷ load_base. Under normal network conditions, load_factor equals load_base, so the cost simplifies to the base_fee of 10 drops.

What About Exchange Fees?

The network fee covers on-chain XRP transfers only. If you are withdrawing XRP from a centralized exchange such as Binance, Coinbase, or Kraken, the exchange charges a separate withdrawal fee that is typically much higher — often 0.1 XRP to 1 XRP. Always check the exchange fee schedule before withdrawing.

Does Fee Amount Affect Speed?

No. On the XRP Ledger, fees do not prioritize transaction speed. Transactions typically settle in 3–5 seconds regardless of how much fee you attach. This is very different from Bitcoin and Ethereum, where higher fees can speed up confirmation.

XRP vs Other Blockchain Calculators

Bitcoin fee calculators are complex because fees depend on transaction size in bytes and current mempool congestion. Ethereum gas calculators require knowing the gas limit and base fee plus optional priority tip. XRP fee calculation is simply: 0.00001 XRP × current XRP price = fee in USD.
